Mugging everything for exams and forgetting on that day is everyone’s nightmare. Imagine having an ability to remember almost everything from your childhood, yes, super memory. People who suffer from this disorder can recall much of their lives in near perfect detail, including some events which are personally significant. Only 60-80 people in the world have this disease. People who suffer from this, have frequent headaches. Rebecca Sharrock, a woman from Brisbane claims to recall every part of her life in detail, whether the dreams she had at eighteen months old or being photographed when she was 12 days old. There is a bowl of hot soup kept in front of you. You unknowingly, drink and burn your mouth. Painful right? What if you possess an ability to resist pain? That’s what Inborn Analgesia is about. A person having this disorder is insensitive to pain, this is mainly because of increased production of Endorphins (chemical produced in response to pain) in brain. However, having such disorder is dangerous, Steven Pete a person who suffers from this disease says, “It first became apparent to my parents that something was wrong when I was four or five months old. I began chewing on my tongue while teething. They took me to a paediatrician where I underwent a series of tests. I also once broke my leg and I was not able to notice it unless my wife noticed it.”

Savant Syndrome

Individual’s who suffer from this disease possess the ability to do anything (music, drawing, painting, calculations with great speed etc). Neurologically, it can be induced following severe trauma to the brain. One such person, Orlando Serrell is an example of “acquired savant”, he began to exhibit skills after being hit by baseball on head. He then realized that he could perform very complicated calculations and remember weather of every single day since accident.

Muscle Hypertrophy Syndrome

Individuals suffering from this disease have super strength. It involves an increase in size of skeletal muscle through a growth in size of its component cells. Liam Hoekstra, is a boy having this syndrome, his biological mum gave him for adoption because of his medical condition. Liam displayed super-strength when he performed iron cross at exactly 5 months old. This kid has enough strength that he can lift heavy dumbbells, do rapid sit-ups while hanging upside down and can lift any furniture of house.
