Be it any time of the day, when tea lovers are offered tea, they would not deny. It is something, people mandatorily commence their day with. Some snacks or bread adds up to its mesmerizing flavor. Though tea does not exactly possess any super charismatic taste, yet it is the love of millions of people around the globe.

Tea is preferred in various types. The types include Milk tea, Black tea, Lemon tea, Green tea. Some among these are healthy. On the contrary, others possess both pros and cons. Normal milk tea is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, calcium, copper, zinc, potassium, manganese and magnesium. It has 1 calorie per gram and 0.1 gram protein too. If added sugar, the number of calories consumed increase. Then there is one of the most reputed forms of tea termed as Green tea. This is preferred by health conscious people because it possesses antioxidant properties. It has the power to help people reduce weight by consuming a very nominal amount of calories.

In India, Assam is popular for the cultivation of tea leaves. From here, it is exported to various places inside and outside of the country.

Tea is a prominent part of the Indian cuisine, the first offering made to the guests that approach us. Even after the introduction of various substitutes like cold drink, soft drinks and so more, tea is preferred over all these by millions of people. Even the young generations constitute this number. Even after the introduction of its kinda substitute coffee, it has not been substituted.

It can be rightly termed as an addiction for some. As a consequence, at times when people aren't provided with it, they undergo headache, restlessness and mood swings. The cause behind this addiction is the amount of caffeine present in tea leaves. A large number of people possess addiction to it.

People spending most of their times at work generally prefer to have 3 to 4 cups of tea a day. By most, it is preferred in the morning and evening. We all are aware of the fact that excess of anything leads to problems. Therefore, tea consists of certain side effects too. They are:

1. Anxiety

2. Constipation

3. Miscarriage

4. Prostate cancer

5. Cardiovascular problem

6. Sleepiness

To sum up, excess of anything is bad for anyone so one must have it in moderate amounts only.
