India has always been a country which is blessed with good sportsmen. Sports has been a crucial part of people's lives in India.

Talk about a sport and there will be hundreds of people playing it. May it be Cricket , Badminton , Tennis , Kabaddi , Hockey and so on. India has always managed to produce legends that have ever played the game. The cycle has just been on and on and on.

Take a particular sport and our country has given his past , present and future. Take Hockey as an example. Starting from the Great Dhyaan Chand , Dhanraj Pillai to Sandeep Sigh and now , Sardaar Singh. The country has produced legends althrough with time and will keep doing so with the time passing by.

Now coming to cricket , Right from Sunil Gavaskar to Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli and now a bunch of talented U-19 players namely Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill , in whom we see the future of the game.

Talking about one such future star , with whom lies the future of the game especially in India is none other than the Vice captain of the U-19 World cup winners , Shubman Gill.

Hailing from Punjab , the 19 Year old has carried that class and elegance within his batting and has put on a show of his classy batting , which has only been better , every single time he's batted.

He was one of the main reasons why India had won the U-19 World Cup back in 2018.

He was the Man of the tournament with over 360 runs in the tournament , scoring a match winning hundred against Pakistan. The amount of class and technique that he carries , is compared to none.

His heroics with the bat in the U-19 World Cup lead to his maiden IPL when the Franchise Kolkata Knight Riders bagged the classy opener for a whopping 3.2 Cr. Lack of opportunities didn't let him stay at the back foot as he capitalised all the opportunities he got. He also scored a match winning Half century against CSK , which earned him the Man of the Match award. He is also a brilliant fielder apart from a classy batsmen.

He is comfortable batting anywhere , according to the team's requirement. He can be a classy opener as well as a very good middle order batsman.

After a good IPL , It was time for Shubman to get into the First class level. He made his first class debut for Punjab the previous year , scoring a whopping 1000 runs in the 9 matches he played. He is the fastest player who had scored more than 1000 runs in Ranji Trophy History.

This lead to his maiden India Call up for the rest of the series against Australia and also for the ODI'S and the T20I'S against New Zealand come next month.

After the announcement of his selection , "I was in shock for the first 10-15 seconds , it was unbelievable" , said the 19 Year Old to the media.

It will be very exciting to see how Shubman performs at the International level after all his heroics in the U-19 and the First class level.
