With the 21st century underway and changes occuring sooner than expected , there have been additions to the technology that have been brought in by difference , the ever lasting impact on this generation.

In this era of digital communication , the social media has been deemed as a crucial necessity. It was once a luxury , now a necessity. From a 9 year old having various accounts on social media platforms to a 90 year old having the same accounts , has left no difference between the generations except for the age. Social media has covered the generation gap.

Whenever the topic of Social media comes out , the next a person would hear is the viral social media challenges.

There have been quite a of them which have gone viral namely - The Ice bucket challenge , The mannequin challenge. The following challenges went viral with the usage of hashtags (#). The more the people talk about it , the more it gets spread among the audiences.

People uploading various photos and videos by using the hashtag (#) and the name of the challenge , make it viral. For example , #icebucketchallenge.

The latest addition to this is the #10yearchallenge. The 10 year challenge is all about uploading photos on social media sites using the hashtag (#).

It is when an individual uploads 2 different pictures of his or her , by placing them the side by side or parallely next to each other or in a split screen.
