India is a country with a huge population. The population is also very diverse. There are thousands of different caste, sub-caste, religion, and even languages. In fact, if you compare any two regions of our country, you would notice though they belong to the same country and still they have a vast difference. Not only in terms of language and culture but also other geographical conditions. It would take an infinite number of years to study even one aspect of this incredible country. Therefore, in this blog, I have listed down some facts that you might don’t know.

• Chess was invented in India; the original Sanskrit word for chess is Chaturanga.
• Algebra, trigonometry, and calculus they all have their origins in India.
• We are honored to have the first ever University of the world named ‘Takshila’ it was developed around 700BC
• Our Indian army build the highest bridge in the world in 1992 named ‘The Bailey Bridge’

• The concept of shampoo was first invented in India; it was developed in the 16th century. Herbs and natural ingredients used at that time.
• Diamonds were first mined in India; it was the most productive country in the world until diamonds were found in Brazil in the 18th century.
• We have the largest postal network in the world with 1055050 post offices all around the country.
• India is the world largest importer or arms but it has never invaded or attacked any country.
• Indian army is the third largest army in the world and comes under the top seven armies in the world.
