2019 it is, and the world is doing better. We are doing better. Now the issues which were discussed in walls because if in open, what shame would it bring to the society are being discussed at least in groups if not at home.

People have started being more vocal about subjects like, rape, dowry, homosexuality, child abuse etc. And the largest group which is the reason behind it- is the youth, the youth of today.

Social media have been a great source to spread awareness and discuss about the taboos more openly yet efficiently and mobiles have played their roles quite well in it.

But the trouble that these gadgets have brought with themselves is that the major portion of theyouth is so influencedthat they had forget what life is without these gadgets.

Small kids can’t eat food without listening to rhymes on mobiles while a little bigger ones need the phones right away in their hands after coming from school so that they can play these insanely and terrifically designed games. While the adolescents are obsessed chatting with their friends, the youth can’t seem to stop themselves from scrolling through their news feed.

And amongst this tempting mess, the kids seems to have totally forgotten how it is to live a life beyond these gadgets, or maybe they are not even aware that there is one beyond that. Outdoor games like Lagori, Kancha, Chain, GilliDanda, Kho Kho are on the verge of extinction and maybe this generation will never even know about it. They will never know how beautiful it could be to peek outside their phones and scream and play and shout under the smiling sky and cooing birds.

Staying in the confines of their homes and keeping themselves busy in the starry controversial life the social media could offer, some kids have started loosing their essence. They don’t have their own thoughts because they get so influenced by the thoughts shared by other that they forget that they can have their own in the first place. Though the youth is more independent and challenging but it is also a fact that they have become antisocial and avoid conversations specially with the people of other age groups.

Though we cannot blame the technology and gadgets for it, because it’s not the gadgets that are wrong but it’s the use of them which is being done in the wrong way.

Better life demands better than that.
