I once came across a quote which stated, “When it is all finished, you will realise it was never random.” Or is it?

People always preach about destiny and fate. We live lives which are predefined and predesigned. Our lives are like finished novels ready to be read. Our life will consist of things which are “meant for us.” It is believed that no power in the universe can change destiny. It is similar to roads which have been constructed and cannot be altered and our lives are symbolised by our journey on that well-built road until the road ends. This drives us to the conclusion that we are not in control of our lives and are mere puppets in this little show called life. Everything that has occurred until now has already been decided to happen. This brings us to believe that travelling through time and arriving at destinations in the future is possible. Since the future is fully certain, reaching there would be feasible, considering we build that sort of technology. This would also mean that astrology may be true. With the right tools, equipment and knowledge one might certainly predict your future!

Yet, some believe that we are the makers of our own destiny. Nobody but us has the power and control over our lives. “Destiny is not a matter of chance but a matter of choice.” All our actions throughout our lives lead us to where we are now. Our lives are like blank canvas ready to get painted in the way we want. We alter and change the ways of our lives as and when required. To conclude we can say that we are the masters of our own destiny. This means that our future is not certain and no way one can tell what may happen in your life in the near future. That way, time travel into the future may not possible at all. It would be an impossible phenomenon. The theories and assumptions regarding it would all be futile. It would hold no value. Even astrology would be discarded and be considered worthless. Every step you take will either bring you closer to your death or your dreams. Uncertainty would become the way of life.

But can one ever determine which one is real? Does destiny exist or does it not? Is there any way to find out? Questions like these are left unanswered but they do stir up curiosity.
