Xiaomi, just last month, revealed their new Android One device, the Mi A3 in Spain. If you don’t know what is Android One, let me explain it to you. Android One is a program which was started by Google in which the software of the device which will be completely Stock Android, no customized UI, no useless features, just Stock Android which directly comes from Google.
You can expect a Pixel-ish experience from a device running on Android One software. In 2017, Xiaomi released its first Android One device, the Mi A1, which was a big hit. It had great hardware, and stock android is always sweet to have and simple to use. Last year, they released the Mi A2 which was successful too. This one also had great specs at a low cost.
Now, according to reports, the Mi A3 is slated for launch in India on the 23rd of August. And Xiaomi is confident about the success of its 3rd generation Android One device. Let’s take a look at the specs of the Mi A3.
Starting off with the display, the Mi A3 comes with a 6-inch Super AMOLED Display with a resolution of 720 x 1560 and 286-ppi. It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 80.3%. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Mi A3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 clocked at 2Ghz and has the Adreno 610 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM & 64GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB using a Micro-SD card as the phone has a Hybrid SIM solution which means it can either support 2 Nano-SIMs, or 1 Nano-SIM and a Micro-SD Card.
The device has a triple camera setup same as most of the smartphones launching these days. There is a 48-megapixel main sensor, and 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with a 118-degree field-of-view, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing senor. It has a 32-megapixel front shooter for the selfies.
It has a 4,030 mAh battery which supports 18W Fast Charging using the Type-C charging port. Also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, and all the other basic sensors. The phone runs on Stock Android 9.0 Pie as it is an Android One device.The device was launched with 3 colors which were Kind of Gray, Not just Blue, More than White. Interesting names I must say.
The Mi A3 has some pretty good specifications. We are yet to see at what price they offer it. But considering it is Xiaomi & seeing how they priced the previous Android One devices, we can expect this device to launch at a reasonable price. Also, this device is for those who love stock android and can’t bear Xiaomi’s own heavily skinned version of Android, the MiUi. Xiaomi is still yet to confirm all the details regarding the launch of Mi A3 in India.
