Shawn Mendes made hearts race with his steamy new “Señorita” music video, but the road to the finished product was not exactly an easy one.

The Grammy nominee, 20, and Camila Cabello released part one of the behind-the-scenes footage from their video shoot on YouTube on Monday, June 24, and it gave fans an inside look at a hilarious accident that happened in rehearsals while the collaborators perfected their choreography.

When the “Havana” singer, 22, leaned backward, Mendes was supposed to hold onto her hand so that he could pull her upright again. However, he lost his grip and she immediately fell to the ground

With his mouth wide open in shock, the “In My Blood” crooner rushed to Cabello’s side to make sure that she was OK. Fortunately, the former Fifth Harmony member was uninjured and started cracking up as Mendes picked her up off the ground.

“You can’t just drop Camila Cabello. You can’t do that,” he later told the cameraperson. “I can’t do that again or it’s over for me.”

The musicians released the “Señorita” song and video on Friday, June 21. They previously collaborated on 2015’s “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

“We wanted to do a song called ‘I Know What You Did Last Winter’ and ‘I Know What We Did Last Fall,’” Cabello told V magazine Opens a New Window.in her and Mendes’ recent cover story. “[Our managers] were like, ‘No,’ and we were like, ‘What?!’ We almost fired them. We were like, ‘What do you mean? How’s that not a good idea?’”

Camila Cabello is now a single woman. The "Senorita" singer has reportedly split from her relationship coach boyfriend Matthew Hussey after being together for a year. The Sun is the first to report the breakup.

A source close to the Cuban songstress says, "Camila's relationship with Matthew had run its course and they decided to break up about a fortnight ago." The source goes on adding, "It was a mutual decision to end things."

"But they have spent a lot of time together over the last year and a half and want to stay friends despite going their own way," the inforrmant continues.

The timing of the split is definitely raising eyebrows. It was just a few days ago Camila dropped a steamy video for her Shawn Mendes collaborative single "Senorita". The video featured Camila cuddling up to the Canadian hunk, who once rumored to be dating the "Havana" singer, before sharing a passionate makeout session.

The insider claims that Camila's split fom the Essex-born dating coach will further fuel the speculation that there is something more between the former Fifth Harmony member and the "In My Blood" singer. "This is of course going to fuel rumours that she and Shawn have become more than just pals though," shares the source.

Camila and Matthew started dating in February 2018 after meeting on the set of "Today". The 22-year-old beauty and the 32-year-old British author later made their relationship red carpet official, when they attended Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party together in February 2019.

Camila previously gushed over Matthe

w in the cover story for Marie Claire's holiday 2018 issue. "He's so similar to me…In person, we're just weird and silly and stupid together. He makes me the happiest I've ever been in my life," the "Never Be the Same" singer said at the time.

She also added that she and Matthew connected on a level that’s different from her sultry stage persona. "Basically, there's the me that I really am, on the inside, which is the nerdy one -- the kind of introverted, shy one -- and then there's the sexy, overly confident one, doing great dance moves and being super sassy," she said.
