The new age of entrepreneurs is here, as people move from 9 to 5 office jobs to start-ups & flexible work hour workspaces Indian economy is at rising right now. Government schemes to fund new business & provide capital to the companies; with a few foreign investments, there are several start-ups that made it to headlines for their efficient services & progressive response from the target audience.

India has become a breeding ground for all kinds of entrepreneurial business whether it’s a small-scale home run village industry or a rising tech giant for consumer services. Over the past 5 years, there has been an exponential growth in start-ups, here is a curated list of a few that made it to the headlines:

1.The Minimalist

With a motto of “We are a company that does things differently.” They started in 2015 with their focus set on digital marketing, interactive designs & branding & communication. Two engineers from IIT-Bombay started the digital design advisory firm. They have done some of the amazing works like re-branding Global IT giant Hexaware, has worked with L&T Infotech to form a whole new brand LTI, etc.

2.Unacademy
A platform that offers online education to its user conveniently, started in 2015 & is based in Bangalore. Gaurav Munjal started off as a channel on YouTube, here the educator consists of the student (who have cleared certain exams) or mentors with teaching experience. In 2018 Unacademy was included in Forbes 30 Under 30.

3.LLB – Little Black Book
It is a platform to share & support cultural news & events, started as a Tumblr Blog. Has grown ever since 2012 founded by a millennial Suchita Agrawal, when she was bored on weekends & had to find some fun places in Delhi. Now it is available as an application for mobile users to share exciting locations where ever they go.

4.Locus.sh

This is a platform which optimizes logistic operations to provide efficiency & transparency, use for making decisions regarding supply chain. The start-up aims to deliver transformational value in logistics by solving complex problems such as load balancing, route optimization, and container utilization.Two former Amazon employee Amit Rastogi & Geet Garg started, it is Bangalore based in 2015 after they left Amazon.

5.ClearDekho

It is an online retail platform which offers a solution regarding lens, prescription & reading glasses. Their products are affordable, snazzy & come in various designs; they are one of the fastest growing online optical retail sales.
