Delhi Metro

Travelling from one place to other regularly may become troublesome and annoying but Delhi metro makes it easy and less irritating.

Delhi metro is owned by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRCL) .

It has 8 colour coded lines:-
*Red Line (Dilshad Garden/Gaziabad to Rithala),
*Yellow Line (Huda City Center to Samyapur Badli),
*Blue Line (Noida/Vaishali to Dwarka Sector 21),
*Violet Line (Escorts Mujesar to Kashmere Gate),
*Green Line (Mundka/Bahadurgarhto Inderlok/Kirti Nagar),
*Pink line(Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar), Magenta Line (Botanical Garden to Janakpuri West)
*Airport Express Line (New Delhi to IGI Airport)
*Note:-Black lines are still under construction and are to be operational yet.
Delhi metro has 6-8 coaches per metro. It runs within 2 -5 minutes from every platform.

ADVANTAGES OF DELHI METRO:-

The following are the advantages of travelling in Delhi metro:-

Delhi metro does not cause much pollution as it runs in electricity.Also almost all metro stations have installed solar panels on their roofs.Thats why it is a sort of pollution free transportation.

2.Save Time and Energy:-

It saves both time and energy as it is easily available and saves one from the heavy traffic jams.Also you can reach at your destination in maximum 2 hours only.

3.Save Money:-

If you are a regular passenger of Delhi Metro, you can use Smart Card to make your travel cheaper as you will get10% discount. And with this, you will also get anadditional 10% discount on Sunday and National Holidays- 2nd October, 15th August and 26th January and on non-peak hours.

4. Clean and Air conditioned:-

Delhi metro is very clean as well as air conditioned.Eatables are not at all allowed inside the metro .Delhi Metro being air conditioned is abig relief from the scorching summers of Delhi.

5.Safe:-

Delhi metro is safe as it is under CCTV coverage all time.The management and security inside and outside metro is worth appreciating. It is safe in metro for anyone to travel even at late evening time.

6.Separate Coach for Women:-

The first coach of every metro is reserved for ladies.It is a separate coach and safe for ladies.

7.Reserved Seats For Old and Disable People:-

There are some seats reserved in each coach for aged and disable people.It is quiet convenient , comfortable and easily accessible for them.
