Everyday we meet people of different castes, religions, beliefs, thinking and mentality. All of us for the years just ponder about and talk about the diversity in religions and castes but little do we talk about the difference between Thinking and Mentality.

For that let us first understand the basic meaning of thinking and mentality. Thinking- the way we perceive and observe things around us and Mentality- it is the pattern of thinking that we develop over the time. All of us have different observation power and also different and diversified ways in which we perceive things happening around us and thus as a result all of us have variations in our thinking and our mentality.

Thinking of a person highlights his or her character, thus play and important role in the social life of the person.

Mentality, based upon the pattern of thinking is prerequiste for the overall development of a person. Anyone's probability to achieve success in life can be determined easily at one instant by the way of his developed thinking. So all of us must be vigilant and vet enough in developing our thinking as it is directly connected with our chances of success.

Nowdays the common problem that persists in our society is that of mal-thinking which gives rise to mal- mentality and which in turn increases the number of mal- happenings in society. For instance, majority of boys have developed bad thinking about girls which in turn creates a devastating mentality of them to harm the girls , as a result number of rape cases are increasing.

All of us at a point in our life are affected by the mentality or we should say mal-mentaity of others.

Lets take an example of the recent MeToo movement. The movement initiated to help woman publicly disclose the names of the persons who misbehaved them. An initiative to help the people of society was being misused by many of the people to gain popularity by imposing false charges on innocent people. This a clear example of ill-mentality . As a result it gave rise to another such movement initiated to provide cover to men, MenToo movement. This movement is too going to help some and will become a tool for some to gain popularity until we people develop a productive thinking.

The things we hear from people that you can never change a mentality of a person though you can affect a person's thinking . Once it is (mentality) developed,it stays with the person until and unless he dies. Is this correct? In my views it isn't. As already discussed our mentality depends upon our thinking and its true that thinking can be changed or rather we should say that thinking can be improved 😉. It needs a little sense and a positive impulse that can alter one's mind, alter the way in which one perceive or deal with the things happening around him or her.

IF we want to work towards developing productive thinking that may help us in achieving great heights in future , we must turn our attention towards the way in which we observe and understands things around us. We must lay focus on reading good articles , good books than to watch some videos on internet of bad tastes(for example). Everything for entertainment is good and acceptable until it becomes an obsession . Recreational doings are good untl they don’t become our habit .

All it requires is self control because our life is totally dependent upon how we honour things around us.

In a crux, we must aim at developing our thinking, good and productive thinking. Boys must come out of the girl's life and fantasy about their body parts if they want to improve their thinking. Girls must come out of their fashion senses in order to develop productive senses. Our parents must come out of protective thinking in order to widen up their mentality and the government must come out of corruptive thinking in order to create a new mentality of trust among the people.
