1. SEASON 5, EPISODE 14: "THE BOX"

This episode features a very intense interrogation in which Jake and Holt are locked in. We have seen many interrogations before but this one is different as the witness plays mind games with them. The witnessed used his intelligence and turned Holt and Peralta's interrogation techniques back on them. This calls in to question Holt's trust in Peralta's competence. In the end, Jake is able to make the witness confess.

2. SEASON 3, EPISODE 10: "YIPPIE KAYAK"

Jake's favourite movie “Die Hard” happening in real life. Trapped in a department store hostage situation on Christmas, poised to re-enact Jake's favourite film. Jake wanted the robbers to be German but they ended up being Canadian. Peralta is forced to sit on the sidelines while Boyle butchers John McClane's iconic line, saving the day with a dramatic rescue from the air vents.

Kevin is threatened to be killed by Seamus Murphy. So to protect Kevin, Jake volunteers to be locked up in the safe house with Kevin. They go undercover as Pervs. One of the Murphy members follow them and ends up keeping Holt as their hostage.
