Fill up your day and fill up your night and,
Fill up your life with love;
Fill up your heart and fill up your friends and,
Fill up the world with love.

The ability to receive genuine love comes with the ability to give love. The more you are integrated from within and, by experience know that you are loved, the more you feel at home with any amount of love, for deep inside, you know that love is not an emotion, it is your very existence. To love is to have that extraordinary feelings of affection without asking anything in return.

All your experiences of love in childhood and adolescence are a preparation to give ourselves completely to the other. Marriage is one such experience where we experience the full blossoming of our love. In marriage a boy and a girl find their security of being loved, wanted and needed. In marriage one is assured of love and care, from the other, even unto death. Despite all our possession, talents and capabilities, we are all lovably incomplete. Marriage brings men and women out of their isolation and aloneness so that they can complete or complement each other in a relationship of love. It is a mystery which defines all laws of mathematics. In a single equation, one and one becomes two, but in a marriage one man and one woman develop a unity of oneness which in two rich, deeper persons.

True love is like two deep rivers that meet and merge, intertwining completely into one, then flowing on together. The joys, happiness and sorrows of each become the joys, happiness and sorrows of the other. True love cannot be hurried but once unselfishly rooted, it will grow forever.

Human love can also find fulfilment when sacrificed totally and expressed fully in service. Not everyone choose this state of life. It is an entirely unmerited gift given to some, to come in touch with the divine impelling love residing within one's deepest being.

Love in your heart was not there to stay. Love is not love till you give it away.
Where I was born and where and how I have lived is unimportant, it is what I have done with where I have been that should be of interest.

History is replete with the people who took their first step down new roads armed with nothing but their own vision.

Since God has loved us so much we too should love one another. No one has ever seen God; but as long as we love one another God will live in us and His love will be complete in us.

Some of you may be called to make your love flower with someone in married life. Some of you may have to find your love blooming in self - giving service for others: those who need your love to grow - the poor, the handicapped, the ignorant, the lonely and sick, those oppressed or marginalised... whichever path you are called to take, let the potential capacity of your heart be filled by the other.

When the centre of your heart is filled by the other whether in married life or in a single life given in service, love must be the motivating and sustaining force. Only then you will move steadily and surely onward towards the Eternal OTHER - God.

' Our hearts are made for you, Lord
They are restless, till they find their
rest in You '.
