Life brings sorrows and joys alike. It is what a man does with them, and not what they do to him, that is the true test of his mettle.

Dealing with failure is not easy. When a person fails, his dreams are shattered, his plans go awry, and he is disappointed. Yet failure is not the end of life. One or two failures do not mean that we cannot succeeded in our goals. It is not something which should deter us. It is a fact that there is no one in the world who has never failed at something.

Success and failure go hand in hand in life. You become successful if you plan well, work hard to put your plans into action and things turn in your favour. But sometimes it is not easy. Plans do not work, there are difficulties in executing those plans, and things take a turn for the worse, leading to failure. Then it is time to review your plans and revise your schedule so that you are successful the next time.

Failure is a part of life. Knowing that is the easy part, but shifting through the aftereffects and making something destructive into something useful is rather difficult. It is easy to say that you can turn the pain of failure into something useful, but it needs great effort and mental strength to cut through the negative feelings. There is no ready - made formula for dealing with failure and turning failure into success.

If there has been a failure, there should not be any excuses. Owning up failure is the first step towards making a comeback. Being accountable for your actions is essential to your growth all throughout life. By refusing to accept that you were at fault you deny yourself the opportunity to learn and to grow. Before you can take the steps to work through the pain of being unsuccessful, you need to acknowledge that you made a mistake. Blaming others, or circumstances for the failure means that if others do not change and circumstances do not favour, you will fail again. Owing the failure means you know that you need to act differently to be successful, and that will make a difference. When you own up your mistakes, you are taking the first step beyond what happened. This allows you to become introspective and look inside yourself, and answer the questions that are the root of your pain, which allows you to move on. And finally, accepting that mistakes are a permanent fixture in your life prepares you for the time when the cycle begins anew with a fresh failing.

Always believe in the principle that making mistakes or failing can also be a key ingredients to succeeding. Never label yourself 'failure'. If you fail in something, do not think it yourself as a failure. It just means that you have not succeeded in doing the work you were doing. It means that you are only some steps away from achieving your goal. By labelling yourself as a failure, you close the door for all possibilities of achieving success. Overcoming failure has been a refining factory for those who always wanted to persuade success in life. If you belong to that category, failure cannot hold you down for long.
