Cooking is an art, which could be mastered only with time. There are people who consider it to be a part of their lives while others believe it is their life. So hasn’t one’s love for cooking only begun to have grown over the years forth?

Cooking not just comes from learning the recipes; it comes from passion and experience. For some it’s an obsession as they try to put their soul and creativity into what they make. There are others for whom cooking is a sweet reminder of their childhood. It brings up stories like how Dadi’s homemade delicacy was secretly being gorged by stealing them from the cabinets high above. These reminiscences put up a sweet smile on one’s face.

There’s this saying in English, ‘Cooking is a way to a man’s heart’, which indeed is true. A human is the only one who can truly savor food with his heart and also the one could elevate your senses to the next level and put up a dish like that. Dishes like the Beef Wellington of England or the Shahi Dum Biryani of India; they aren’t just popped out from the guidelines of a recipe but made with experience that has been gathered over the years and where their instincts take them.

Cooking also helps people reduce stress. The building aroma of flavors in air soothes our mind and strikes up a cord of content. Cooking is done in many forms and an array of dishes is procured from it. Frying, boiling, poaching, baking and roasting to name a few, are cooking styles with which we could compose our dishes.

When it comes to the different cuisines around the world and their dishes, there’s an endless list for it. Our very own Indian cuisine takes a huge leap in variations of recipes and the methods of cooking. From Kashmiri’s Rogan Josh to Tamil Nadu’s Idli Sambar, Assam’s meaty delicacy Khaar to Gujarat’s popular snack Khandvi, every dish is different and unique at its own level. The broadcasting of these flavors across the country has brought their cultures and bonds together.

Cooking has also taken a route towards the famous Heston Blumenthal’s kitchen, a genius who was one of the firsts to indulge science into cooking. India’s most celebrated chefs like Sanjeev Kapoor, Ranveer Brar and Tarla Dalal have also seemed to bring some joyous notes to our palette.

Be it an eighty year old granny’s Macchi Fry or a nine year old kid’s cup noodles, when it’s been cooked with love and passion, it would surely taste heavenly.Though the way of cooking has changed from time to time, it has brought a sense of togetherness among the people with the humble foods filling up our grumbling tummies.
