Have you also heard these words from any one of your friends on a well-planned outing day? Well, your friend need not be blamed in this case but also the real culprit should not be ignored. Summer got everyone of us like a lazy lad. The sun sucks up all the energy out of you, leaving behind a LITHARGY YOU. But hey!story doesn’t end here, those infamous and harmful Ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can cause cancer and many other serious ailments.

Protection in such a scenario is utmost priority. With proper care and preparation, summers can too be relaxing and exciting. Given here are certain things that you need to keep in mind while opting to move out in sun:-

1.)10 a.m. and 2 p.m.period

Sun is most intense during these 4 hours. Avoid moving out during this time. If already out, seek some shade either through umbrella or under a tree/shelter, whichever way possible.

2.)Sunscreen to the rescue

Various brands offer their sunscreen indicating its SPF no. on the tube. Higher the SPF, better the protection is. It needs to be re-applied after swimming or sweating. This is a must have product that all girls as well as boys must carry with them when out.

3.)Head gear got you covered

A head gear such as a wide brimmed hat or cap should be used to protect sunlight from directly being in contact you’re your skin. No area of body should be left uncovered.

4.)Protect infants

Sunscreen should not be applied to infants; in fact infants should be covered with proper cloth i.e. a dupatta etc. to keep them under the shade. Children of 2 years or more can be covered with sunscreen.

5.)Big NO to tanning beds

A tanning bed is a device that emits ultraviolet radiation that is very harmful and may cause cancer (and that can be the deadliest form of skin cancer).Such radiations are also reason for causing cataract. So, the tan beds or the sun-tan beds should be given a red flag.

6.)Healthy lifestyle

Engage yourselves in building up a healthy lifestyle of yourselves and your near ones’. Don’t consume body harming products. Eat healthy, drink often and stay hydrated.

7.)Perform regular skin checks

Monitor your skin and body on a regular basis. Notice changes those have occurred on your body but shouldn’t have happened to you. If you come upon such changes, do contact the resource person as soon as possible
