Happiness is a feeling of well- being, joy and contempt. It gives meaning and purpose to life. Some says happiness is in achieving your goals, some feels happiness by fulfilling their needs and some by doing the work they love to do. There is no single definition of HAPPINESS. But there are still some basic qualities which will make you happy:

• HELP OTHERS

Happiness is a feeling which we can’t get just by accomplishing our goals. Sometimes, we achieve so many things in our life but still feel empty and unsatisfied because we haven’t done something for others. Helping others gives us a sense of happiness and satisfaction that we have also done something for the people and their happiness. Sometimes, it is best to bring smile on other’s face to make our inner soul happy. Try it once, help someone unselfishly and you will feel free and happy from inside.

• DO WHAT YOU LOVE

There are so many things we love to do in our daily routine. Some like playing cricket, some like watching movies, some of us like reading, writing etc. etc. there is no compulsion that you can’t chose these things as your career. If you are passionate and determined about something, choose that activity as your career because it is very important to love the things which we want to pursue in our life. if you’ll do anything without your interest, you are not going to become successful in your life. Don’t force yourself to do things, which you don’t like.

• Live in a positive environment

To live a happy life, it is very important that you should live around positive environment. Negative things bring us down as they divert us from our goals and make us depressed and sad. If you want to live in happiness and peace, spend your time with positive people, watch motivational videos, follow a regular positive routine. Spend time with people who genuinely make you happy. They can be anyone like your friends, family, brothers, sisters and teachers.

• Don’t hold on to grudges

Hate and grudges are the worst things which make us hollow from inside out. Forgiveness is the best key to manage a happy life. don’t hold on grudges and forgive everyone because if you are wasting your time in hating someone, you are digging a hole of depression and sadness for yourself. Your hate is going to affect those only who actually loved you otherwise that feeling of yours is totally a waste. That’s why think like those were the temporary people of your life who came in your life to make you stronger and forgive everyone because every betrayal also teaches a great lesson.

• Celebrate little victories

If you want to find long term happiness, start celebrating your little victories and moments. Life is full of ups and downs and you don’t know what is going to happen in future and in between this time we get so many victories which go unnoticed because we are more concerned about bigger things. Celebrating you small achievements will make you more confident and determined and help you in achieving your bigger goals.

• Share your pain with your close ones

Without pain, there is no gain. It is a true saying you can’t achieve something in your life if you’re afraid of facing heartbreaks and sadness. Everyone is not strong enough to handle their pain and on the same note they don’t want to share it with anyone. Secrets and unsaid feelings usually break relationships. Sharing your pain with the people who understand you will make you feel a bit calm. Keeping secrets and pain inside you make you heart more heavier with guilt. So, share and express your feelings with others whenever you feel sad and after telling them you’ll feel relaxed and happy.

• Accept your imperfections

Imperfections are the best qualities of a person; they help us in becoming a better person in upcoming time. Instead of becoming sad on your imperfections, you should embrace them. Accept yourself the way you are. Don’t change yourself if it is not for your own good. No one is perfect in this world and if you run behind this perfection, you’re losing your happiness in your life. Instead of comparing your life with others, you should accept the life you have and try to put your best efforts to make it better for yourself. Love yourself before anyone because self- love is the key to happiness. If you’re not confident about yourself, you’ll not be able to live a happy life.
