“The Big Bang Theory” an American sitcom and became popular among the viewers quickly, the first episode was aired on 24 September 2007, and the series finale concluded on 16 May 2019.

The creators of the show – Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady were even the executive producers and head writers of the show along with Steven Molaro.

The Big Bang Theory has been nominated 216 times and won 56 awards and 7 Emmy awards also.

  • The show was initially called – “Lenny, Penny and Kenny” but later the name “The Big Bang Theory” was finalized.

  • The character of Sheldon Cooper is played by "Jim Parsons" who didn’t knew who Chuck Lorre was and misunderstood him for someone else and thought that he was auditioning for a Game Show.

  • “Kunal Nayyar” who is globally famous for his character of Rajesh Ramayan Koothrapali in this show got hired for the role in the first place because he was charming. Not to forget the fact that he is married to “Neha Kapur” who won Femina Miss India in 2006.

  • The character of Amy Farrah Fowler which is played by “Mayim Bialik” was made a neuroscientist on purpose as in real life she has got a Ph.D. In neuroscience. This was done so that she could help with the practical jokes of her field.

  • While most of the cast of this show are highly educated, three of them are also talented musicians where Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) is a cellist player, Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik learned to play Theremin and Harp specifically for this show. Not to forget the fact that Theremin is one of the most challenging instrument to play.

  • Howard Wolowitz played by “Simon Helberg” is shown to have only female toys in his rooms. The models include – Bat Girl, Cheetah, Wonderwoman. The only male toy that Howard has is of Jabba the Hut who has Princess Leia beside him.

  • The first person to speak to each of the female characters were their future partners. No matter in which season the character has introduced this pattern followed throughout. Leonard first talked to Penny, Howard was the first to greet Bernadette and later it was Sheldon who first spoke to Amy.

  • The song that is sung as a lullaby to Sheldon “Soft Kitty” is an actual song and dates back to 1930 by Edith Newlin Chase is known as “Warm Kitty.”

  • Sheldon’s favorite cartoon is “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle,” and there’s a reason for it, not many people know it, but it was Chuck Lorre the co-creator of “The Big Bang Theory” who is responsible for the writing the theme song for this cartoon.
