Since last few significant decay in engineering admission is observed in the state of Maharashtra more and more people are seeking non engineering higher study

The reason for this is job vacany
The rate of engineer produced in our country is very high which is almost equal to small country and only 7 percent of the engineer are having significant skill to fetch the job.

Reason for not getting jobs.
1. low skill
The education system maily focus on the remembering the stuff and writting the answer in the exam.
Which lead to 50 percent plus student to rember the thing or they just do ratta for exams and nothing else

They don't even try to understand what is in book

2. Lack of imagination
The engineer are the people who are hired to engineer something the most deciding factor for their jobs is their imagination

If person has lack of imagination she/ he cannot able to build or create something new

3. High competition in core branches
The core branches in engineering has significant lew number of jobs as compared to cs/it the engineer in core job has to very skillful in order to bag a job

4 . More practical knowledge is required
The couse in mostly University based upon the theory based lack of pratical knowledge . The engineer studying their have no engineering skill to sustain in the engineer firms

5. Engineering is not their passion
most students select engineering due to their peer pressure or parent pressure
Their don't have any interest in engineering and they are confused what to do after engineering
Engineering is not easy it require hard work as well as kneen interest in field to bag a job

Current senerio

There will be around 80,000 less seats in engineering this year in the country. This will lead to around 3.1 lakh seats less in four years. According to theAll India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), nearly 200 'substandard' engineering colleges have applied for closure. Since 2016, the number of engineering seats has been on the decline. According toAICTE, it is around 75,000 annually. In 2016-17, total intake capacity at undergraduate level was 15,71,220, of which total enrolment was 7,87,127, which is just around 50.1 per cent. In 2015-16, total intake was 16,47,155, of which enrolment was 8,60,357, which was 52.2 per cent

AICTE wants to close down about 800 engineering colleges across India. There are no takers for their seats, and admissions are plunging in these colleges every year. Nearly 150 colleges are closed down voluntarily every year due to stricter AICTE rules. According to a rule of the council, colleges that lack proper infrastructure and report less than 30% admissions for five consecutive years will have to be shut down. AICTE has approved the progressive closure of more than 410 colleges across India, from 2014-15 to 2017-18.
