India is a land of god and goddess and made by them itself. People across the world come to visit the temples and see how people of different religions worship. Every religion have different gods. Like the punjabis and sardars worship WaheGuru, The hindus pray lord krishna, lord rama, devi saraswati and many more. But the thing which is common is the devotion. Every religion is given equal importance in this country.

Let's have a look at the top most famous temples in India which everyone should visit.

Vaishno Devi

The Vaishno Devi temple is located in the mountain Trikuta at an altitude of 5200 ft. This temple is devoted to goddess Shakti. This temple is open all the year and Vaishno Devi yatra can be successfully accomplished only because of Mata's wish. It is believed that only if Maa wishes to call the pilgrims to her doorsteps.

There are 51 shakti peethas from which maa vaishno devi has 3 rock heads other than the statue.

Shirdi

The beautiful Shirdi temple is devoted to saint sai baba. This temple is located in Shirdi Town of Maharashtra. Sai Baba was known for his delightful teachings of Shraddha means trust and Saburi means tender and soft feelings towards everyone. Many people from all over the world come to Shirdi to worship sai baba.

Jagannath Temple

The Jagannath Temple is devoted to Lord Krishna and is considered to be a part of Char Dham Yatra. This temple is located in Puri, Odissa. The main festival celebrated here is Rath Yatra. At the entrance of the temple there are the statues of Lord Balabhadra and goddess Subhadra(brother and sister of lord krishna) which entices many visiotrs.

Golden Temple

The Golden Temple of india is situated in Amritsar and is considered as one of the famous temples of the country. The golden Temple is devoted to Wahe Guru. It is also known as Shri Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib. Its structure has 4 four doors open for all the religions. This temple is in the midst of a divine lake which is considered to be Amrit or Holy water. The main festival which is celerated in here is Guru Nanak Jayati and Baishaki.

Somnath and Dwarka Temple

The temple of Somnath and Dwarka is situated in Gujrat. The Dwarkadhish temple is also considered as the part of Char Dham Yatra and is devoted to lord Krishna. Built on the banks of river Gomti, the structure of this temple is supported by 72 pillars which fascinates the tourist across the world. The entrance gate of the temple is known as the Swarg Dwar which means the gateway to heaven and the exit gate is called the Mokshya Dwar which means gateway to salvation.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple

This temple is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. It is believed that dipping in the ganga river of Kashi Vishwanath temple can free the devotees from all of their sins and they will be provided Mokshya (salvation). The main festival celebrated here is Mahashivratri.

Meenakshi Amman Temple

The most famous temple of south situated in Madurai, Tamil Nadu is devoted to Meenakshi, an avatar of goddess Parvati and her husband Sundareswarar, Lord Shiva. The strusture of this temple entice the tourist from all over the country and world.
