Mahindra Racing has competed in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship since 2014, representing the Indian car giant in single seater racing. The team won its first race in 2016/17 seasons and in 2017/18, went on to score two more victories with Swedish driver Felix Rosenqvist, who races alongside German driver Nick Heidfeld. In the 2017/18 season, the team got off to a strong start before technical issues reduced Felix Rosenqvists championship title hopes to nothing more than a distant dream. The team finished fourth overall in 17/18 and third in 16/17 seasons.
Jerome d'Ambrosio as well as rookie driver Pascal Weherlein will drive the car for the 18/19 season.
Mahindra made its debut in formula E in 2014, Karun chandok and Bruno Senna, nephew aryton Senna, lined up as their driver. They drove well and have a tough challenge to other experienced manufacturers. Mahindra cam close to get on the podium at the London e prix but finished fourth. They scored 58 points that season and finished 8th in the constructors. The next season, Karun was dropped but Senna retained his seat, Nick Heidfeld as his teammate. Nick was on the third step of the podium in the first race in Belgium and Mahindra were on the podium for the very first time. At the Moscow e-prix, Bruno finished second, securing second podium in the bag. They finished that season in 5th spot with 105 points. For the 16-17 season, Bruno Senna was replaced by Felix rosenqvist, the team showed great pace and consistency and finished 3rd with 215 points. This was their best season until now. The driver line up didn’t change after a successful last year but the team didn’t live up to the expectations as they finished 4th with 138 points. Felix was replaced by Pascal Weherlein, former Mercedes academy driver, he teamed up with Jerome d’Ambrosio, they are currently 4th with 116 points. They would be hoping for a better end to this season.
