Educational System

Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of mind to think.

"Education" the breath and life for everyone in the world. Without education there is nothing. It has gained a lot of demand and importance in the market. The lives of people have become better, they are able to earn a better standards of living, better employment opportunities, better security levels, high income levels and many more. The benefits that one could gain through education cannot be counted in our hands. Poor people save and make money to educate their children and aim, and dream to see them at better positions. So that's the magic of education. It changes the lives of people and can make the poor rich and also sometimes the rich poor. It all depends on how they utilise their education.

Earlier the educational system was very simple and uncomplicated. It all started from the Gurukuls. The education was taught by Gurus, Pandits and many. There were no huge buildings or institutions, but only small huts, where the students had to stay with the gurus for a long period of time and were taught mantras, slokas and the most important thing 'discipline'. The students had to serve the gurus and were told to do all the things which were instructed.

Later the system changed, i.e when there was the entry of the Britishers. They introduced the system of schools, colleges and universities. They introduced the language medium, the syllabus that the students had to follow and many more. The main reason why the education system was changed by the Britishers, was for their own benefits, to get many employees to work under them. But that system became very popular and continues to be till date. But it has not remained the same, people have made various changes in the system and have completely given it a different name. Nowadays, the main importance is been given to the currency used to educate people and not the education being gained. As a whole, the fees structure increased, and not letting the unables to gain eduction. This could be a major cause for our country's unemployment and poverty.

And even if people set aside their priorities and give education its importance and educate their children, the main and basic aim is lost. schools , colleges are only behind high scores, ranks, but not on the knowledge and skills of the child. This is the small and basic mistake. Due to that, their whole structure is lost. The child must be educated of all the theoratic and practical aspects. Graduates or post graduates completing their studies and willing to start up their career are facing a difficulty in understanding the reality. The theories that we have learnt is totally different from what we see outside the 4 walls. So, henceforth, students become uncomfortable at their workplace.

So there needs a sincere change in the educational system and needs to be more practical. The theories and practicalities must match for better understanding. If the educational system is set up in such a manner, then there could be a scope for better development and enhancement.
