Well, what better start than aconfession. I'm a victim of this too. This article which should've been uploaded way back is now in front of you. Let's face it; we've all been there. We have a deadline looming, but instead of doing our work, we fuddle with many other things like checking emails, surfing blogs, watching videos for entertainment, and then there are social media. And if not all these things, then we prefer laying on the couch doing nothing. It's like you know you should be doing your work, but you don't feel like doing it. Right?

We all have familiarized ourselves with this procrastination phenomenon. Well, let me tell you one thing here, when we procrastinate, we squander away our leisure time and put off the essential tasks that we should be doing. And when it gets too late, we either panic and wish we got it done in the first place itself or quit it at the eleventh hour.

What I have learned is that delaying your work, slacking, putting off things, hiding from work, facing situations only when they seem unavoidable and then repeating this loop all over is what the chronic procrastinators do and they get stuck in this loop instead. It becomes a habit that eats us away and stops us from achieving more exceptional results in life and reaching our goals and ambitions.

Don't let this take over your life and then eventually force you to live a life of regrets. Here are some ways in which you can get rid of procrastination and work towards a better experience for yourself by achieving your aim.

1. Break your work into little steps

One of the main reasons for procrastination is when we find our work to be too overwhelming for us. All you need to do is to break it into little parts and then focus on one at a time. If you still find it tiring, cut it into smaller pieces further. Soon, your task will seem to be so simple, and you will find yourself on the path of completion.

2. Change your Environment

Our productivity depends on the environment we are working in. Have a look at your desk or your workplace. If you don't get the working vibes from it, change it ASAP. Keep it more like something that inspires you over time. Be more positive and energetic.
