Child labour, a serious major concern for the whole world. It takes place when small children are forced to do work to fulfill their basic necessities like food, shelter, etc. It's a very serious concern because children are the future of the nation and if they are not healthy and secure then the future of the nation will not be bright. Future of a nation totally depends on children.

Nowadays the parents send their children on work, just to survive and earn money. Actually, they are not well aware of future prospects.

It's causes-

  • Population

  • Poverty

  • Uneducated people

  • Loss of jobs of parents in a slowdown

Etc.
Though many rules and acts have been formed and implemented time to time by the government to prohibit the child labour or child slavery, still this is not banned completely in our country as according to the government rule children with or under age 14 can do nonhazardous work and above 14 can do hazardous too. There is a very huge working area in our country where child labour is serving like domestic services, agriculture, hotel and restaurants, entertainment industry, coal mines, manufacturers, etc. This major crime named as “child labour” is depriving under age children from getting basic education or financially secure social life because children are involved in this crime at very low age of 5 to 7 years.

Conclusion.

Collective efforts are needed on the part of society and the government to put an end to the practice of child labour. In fact, every citizen should take a pledge to never employ child labourer, rather discourage others too from doing so. We should create awareness amongst people employing child labourers and the parents sending their children to work.

We need policies which try to remove poverty and inequality as they can have a significant impact on economic conditions and social structures.
