Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse Is A Masterpiece

Into the Spiderverse, Created by the Sony Pictures Animation studios who had previously released the infamous Emoji movie which was a mishap of a film, is currently (Surprisingly) the magnum opus of the studio. After their previous failure in 2017 , the studio has churned out something which refreshes the superhero genre and turns the peter parker formula on its head.

Unlike previous spider-man films (yes, dont miss the " - " in Spider-man) where we follow Peter Parker's journey from being a nerdy kid (or an irresponsible teenager) to a responsible adult with him handling his personal life and life as spider-man at the same time, we see Miles Morales from a different parallel universe who becomes spider-man after this universe's Peter Parker dies. The movie shows off 6 different spider-men from different alternate universes including Miles. Spider-Man from EARTH-616, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham, SP||DR, Spider-man Noir are the others.

On the surface the movie may seem like the normal spider-man tale that we have seen over the years but on close inspection the movie is the practical demonstration of the words "With great power, comes great responsibility".

This movie has brought the character of Miles Morales into the mainstream.The character had been a fan favourite of the hardcore comic book readers of today and now it has also familiarised itself in the atmosphere of the superhero movie fans. With such a strong start the future of this franchise and of Sony Pictures Animation seems to be bright.

The animation style is one of a kind in this film. It is animated on 2's, which means 2 frames are repeated in 24 frames , which takes some time to adjust to but by the time the action starts you would barely notice it. This stylistic choice results in a film whose every frame looks like a comic book drawing. This film is B E A-utiful. Literally.

Summing up, this movie is a must watch and also the official sound track is something to experience itself.
