21st century is very popularly reffered to as the age of "information revolution".with the advent of internet in mid 20th century, development in front end technologies and telecom revolution, the most obscure of the information is now accessible to the most ignorant of the individuals.this seems to have revolutionized the whole perspective of information generation, sharing and accessibility.people in this era do not rely only to the newspapers and tv channels for information, they are supplied with huge sources (not withou posed hzards and disadvantages). It has surely made a conduit for people to access the specifice of most of the events and instituions around the globe ,the credibility of which remains to be decide by the user.

all through these changes the accessibilty is reduced to a price that even the people in the lower economic strata can have meaningful outcomes for their apetite for information. But are we ready to ensure maximum benefits of the information outpourings and still not get distracted? this question is inevitable and needs to be addressed positively.

let us divide the group of internet users into stratas to make our arguments more specific.
then the upper strata belongs to the technocrats and proffessional who are well aware of the trails on the internet and even if not they are using internet proffessionally (which has its own issues but not the topic of discussion here)

the second strata which consists of avid but unaware users of internet (which forms the subject of this article)

the lower strata is occupied by the people who are not avid users of internet(which is also a cause of worry with the changing world but again not to be discussed here).

the problems faced by the people in second strata is that of distractions and most of the subject of this article will come from this strata.

college students and high school students form the majority of this section of people and we will be discussing the problems pertaining to the population for which the things are accessible but they are not aware if they are using or abusing the things at their hands .

society is a group where all the individuals face challenges (which surely is the homogenous component!)

related to society as a whole or more individualistic problems such as failure at educational attainment and escape from economic vulnerability.the best examples could be people either preparing for the entrance exams and are currently in their high schools and those who are already enrolled in their under graduate couses .most of the aspirants will get disqualified at their aspirations relating either to their job or to their admissions in higher educations.(i am not pessimist its just that the selection ratios are not more than 1% for most of the exams ) And will seek refuge in the distractions provided by the same internet platforms which could also be used for productive purposes .what they should seek must be the credible answers to their questions relating to their failure . They should find ,why failure occured to them in the first place? and then they should seek informatin about the reasons ,and the bottlenecks in their preparation strategy and should shed their misgivings and fitility ,and should restart to accomplish their endeavours rather than seek refuge.

the biggest problem that they face is not their failure but over-emphasizing the negative impacts of this short term failure ,and thus loosing sight of their long term goals.

the negative content accessible to our high school kids are reducing them to the status of browsers on the internet and time wasters.

our youth is worried about many issues .they are worried about their job prospects ,about the vulnerability of their family and near relatives .In most of the sub standard educational facilities of india they are worried about the lack of exposure and the kind of competition they are going to face which they are unable to catchup with the resources available to them. And instead of seeking solutions they seek refuge( in distractions),which is quite worrisome attitude, due to which they appear to be trapped and which is visible by their indulgence in heinous crimes such as lynchings ,rapes, robbery, suicide attempts.and thus contributing to the increasing crime rates and not to the growth in peace and prosperity of their society.who is to be held responsible? what are the solutions?

we need to inculcate a sense of moral strength in our youngsters, otherwise we are creating penury for ourselves.

the govenment is playing its part quite well and upto some extent very responsibly.By introducing various modern programmes like Digital India,Startup India, and kaushal vikas yojana etc,to transform the young energy into productive forms and leading them out of isolation through assuring their participation in the nation building .even private enterpreneurs are facilitating such positive changes, apps like kindle, quora and wrytin are inducing creativity .there are many youtube channels which provide with the help in skill enhancement and easy learning and also extend support and answers to more general problems.Even on social networking sites like facebook ,which are accused of causing most of the distractions, provide with facilities that can be used progressively, there are progressive groups of like minded individuals which provide with the assistance and suggestions for positive changes in the feild of ones mastery.so the power and responsibility to use these resources in more progressive and productive manner rests in the hand of individuals ,who need to remain aware in the time of distress and not get distracted.

owing to the sudden overturn in the platforms of information exchanges which has changed from classroom teaching and "chai ki tapri" to internet based learning and interactions ,the vulnerability of youngsters has increased. Now they are more open to both the positive and negative impacts of information revolution and this we must care about, otherwise we will be forbearers of the great destruction and devastation that our society will be suffering.
