BIG BANG THEORY

Creation of the Universe is a fantasy for many children at a young age.I used to contemplate over a variety of reasons that could have led to this prodigious formation of the Universe until I learned of the intricate cosmological theory of the Big Bang.

But, this model simply promulgates that the universe has a age of about 13.8 billion years. It also enunciates that the universe came into existence after the expansion of a single ball with infinite density and very high temperature termed as 'Singularity' started expanding to form the universe we know of today. After it's embryonic expansion, it started to cool down suitably enough to lead to the emergence of subatomic particles, and later simple atoms, in nature.Humongous clouds of these subatomic particles underwent amalgamation under gravity to generate stars and galaxies. But it is still a mystery as to what led to the expansion of this huge matter.

Also, the Singularity is concluded not to be made of any cliched baryonic particle which principally defines neutrons, electrons and protons. Thus, there is a cornucopia of enigma surrounding this model with the cosmologists and scientists being sceptical about it.

Yet,this model gives a needed and satisfactory encyclopedic explanation for a broad range of observed phenomena including the abundance of light elements, the CMB, large scale structure, and Hubble's Law. The substructure for the Big Bang model rests on Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity along with the untangled assumptions such as homogeneity and isotropy of space.

Withstanding it's uncracked ciphers and conundrums, the consensus of the scientists and cosmologists is that it is the simplest model to approach the explanation of the formation of the Universe to the nearest and elucidates the observations and measurements in cosmology.
