Our society has always been in favour of the traditional way- go to school, complete college, work in 9-5 then finally get “settled” – they have never supported entrepreneurship. When this is the case, I think my story can inspire some people who had great desire to start their entrepreneurship.

I belong to a middle class family, where my father is a self employee running fancy store. He always dreams to see me as an engineer. I started my schooling in CH high school. I am kid like always teasing others and never ever do things what teacher says. I am poor in studies because I always use to dream in classes. Every kid was excited to enjoy the summer. But I was extremely upset because I had a work with my parent’s on our shop. I had to go to my shop, not just one day or a week but each and every day, it went on for complete vacation. I completely hated it. I have to go over there early in the morning when most of my friends would be still sleeping….no Saturday off or Sunday off and of course no holidays even on festivals, because we may have some extra business on festivals. That was my first exposure to entrepreneurship where I started learning and liking but it was just not beautiful.

Later I started selling pens, pencils, erasers…etc. from my shop to my friends in the class for my pocket money. I think there I started replicating me as an entrepreneur. Days are going even I promoted to the next classes but my studies are still bad. Usually my parents will scold me because of my poor marks. I use to feel how unlucky I am. Well I was in 10th standard; it was my sister’s marriage. I felt like all the responsibilities is being kept on my shoulders and I took the planning. I prepared a menu with tasty food items, classy decoration of marriage hall, guest rooms and I managed everything with low budget and a grand wedding. I think it was my event which I organised and succeed. That’s the day I came to know what skills I have and started organising all the events in my college.

But I am cursed, my father lost his shop and we moved to Mumbai, the normal life cycle of a migrated middle class person stirred. He settled in a job, which he knows nothing about. My father started giving lectures to me to study good and rapped me to settle in a job. I had other vision for myself and I am sure that I want to run my own business and started learning new languages.

I love travelling and started to travel around the world. I went to many places and learned so many things and there real learning happened for me. I decided to start my own business in the place where my thoughts always would be. I started travel and tourism based company where a complete plan of tour to different places in the world was planned and organised with small budget and great enjoyment. It was running successfully with great profits and one thing made me proud that I am the owner of my own business.

That’s how I started my entrepreneurship, you can look back that I came up learning’s what I had in my life. I always be in dreams in classes, those dream s are to somewhere around the world and I started liking dreams, as we resettled in Mumbai I learned many different languages which helped me to become closer to people where do I go that everyone knows mother tongue make everyone to feel us. I learned organising from my sister’s marriage and it’s kept going in that way.
