A Woman Shines Within!

Talking about women empowerment is a trend nowadays. If you will ask any person sitting beside you about women empowerment then they'll surely reply in a positive manner that women should be empowered. Just once give a thought to it Why do a woman would be needing to be empowered if she is born empowered. Firstly, a woman needs respect whether she is your wife, daughter, mother, sister, niece, sister in law or even your girlfriend. It is irony that men can never empower women but all they can do is make women feel safe.

There are several questions which arrive to a girl's or woman's mind while leaving home, especially at night:

• Is it so important to move out for work or shall I request boss to join office at morning?

• Shall I change my route otherwise those rogues will again molest me?

• Shall I wear this or not because people stare as bad as they can and it feels awkward to me?

• Shall I move out alone or not?

These questions startled every women or girl while she thinks of moving out. When we women ourselves talk or demand for such things then people address us as feminist. Empowering women means to give them the equal position and opportunity to prove themselves.

There have been many instances when we came to know about sexual or mental abuse to women. This creates a thought that how could humanity could be so harsh that it could restrict a women just to be made for use and pleasure. Domestic violence has been a great part of it when it comes to harassment of women. This is just a glimpse of crime against women as there could be myriad of cases if we would go in depth.

Crimes against women:

• Sexual abuse

• Domestic violence

• Murder

• Child and forced marriage

• Women trafficking

• Kidnappings

• Molestation

These have been the foremost reason of steady growth of a country. A country in which women is worshiped as goddess, needs to be safe for women at least. But in this world of modernisation, people regard all these crimes as a way to let people know about their standards. People treating women as a slave forget that they were also given birth by a women.

On one hand, we talk about women empowerment and on the other side, we feel ashamed of talking about sanitary napkins or pads. Do we actually know the reason of feeling ashamed while talking about periods?

Everyone knows about it but people behave like it is a matter of shame so all they do is either they'll change the topic or just leave. In this era, of being modernized people still think before they talk about periods and even there are some girls which can't even buy sanitary napkins for themselves.

So it is very essential for girls to learn that if not now then never!
