When ever we talk about sports and especially Cricket , we often talk about the men's Cricket. Whenever there is a talk about Cricket or any other sport , or take any other aspect , the men have been the dominant gender. The ones who've shown their authority with time.

Right from the evolution of mankind , this has been the story of the world. Men dominating women. Men suppressing women. Not letting them get their opportunities that they deserve. It has been a MALE DOMINANT SOCIETY.

Out of everything , one such aspect or one such area where women have given the men , a tough time or say head to head competition is Cricket.

As we all know Cricket is the most followed sport in the country. The citizens of the country go mad over the sport. The amount of love and support that they show towards the sport and the sportsmen playing the sport is unparallel and unmatched.

Cricket is termed as a RELIGION in India. People worship the sport in this country and shower immense love towards the sportsmen and sportswomen playing the game.

Let's talk about one such loved Sportswomen of the country , the future of the Indian Woman's Cricket and a star in the making , Smriti Mandhana.

Smriti Shriniwas Mandhana is an Indian Woman's Cricketer. She made her ODI debut back in 2013 against Bangladesh. She made her Test Debut in 2014 against England. Although know for her attacking approach and glorious stroke play , she came into limelight when she became the first Indian Woman to score a double hundred in an ODI ( Domestic ) in a league match at Maharashtra.

Cricket has always been there in her family. Her father and brother have played district level Cricket but couldn't go ahead. But Smriti could do so. She went on to play for India and now is considered as the BACKBONE of the Indian Batting top order.

She is also considered as the SOURAV GANGULY of Women's Cricket due to the similarities among her and Sourav while batting , moreover because both are left handed batsmen.

In the 46 One day games that she's played , she has ammased over 1,700 runs with an impressive average of 42.97.

She has also scored 4 hundreds and 14 fifties.

The most recent hundred coming in against NewZealand in NewZealand in the first Odi of the 3 match series.

This 104* turned out to be a match winning knock while India were chasing a score of 193.
With the amount of talent that Smriti Mandhana Possesses , it surely looks like India's Cricketing future is in safe hands.
