A sport is recognised by it's sportsmen. The sport only gets recognition and value by what the sportsmen do while playing the game.

The better they play , the better recognition the sport gets. The players are the history makers. The creators. The record holders and record breakers.

A sport all alone doesn't do anything. The sportsmen add up to the sport being known all over the world.

It adds up to the recognition as well as the downfall. It depends on the sportsman whether he contributes to the recognition of the sport or the downfall.

Talking about bringing recognition to the sport of cricket , VIRAT KOHLI has been someone who has only brought recognition to the game of cricket.

Right from the moment when he made his Debut in the year 2008 , he came in as a U-19 World Cup winner. He came in with a positive attitude and didn't take much time to make his mark and create his impact on the game or say it the "VIRAT FACTOR".

The Virat factor has been strong through out the last decade and will be even more stronger in the coming time.

Aggression has always been the key for Virat. He has always been aggressive. There is not a single record which he hasn't broken in the meantime , with his bat doing all the talking.

Although his attitude has brought him a lot of criticism , Virat has answered them in a better way. In a way which not only the critics would remember , but the entire cricketing world would remember too.

Within the last decade , he has become the best in the world in all the formats of the game. Although his performance in test cricket progressing of late , with the average getting better in the last few years , his performance in the limited over format has been consistently exceptional.

He has possibly broken every possible record in the limited overs format by now and is going all guns blazed.

Virat has scored over 10,300 runs in the 218 games he's played , with his average almost touching 60. He has scored a jaw dropping 39 centuries till now and is likely to go past Sachin in the next couple of years when it comes to the most number of centuries scored in ODI'S.

He has also been the fastest batsman to score 7000 , 8000 , 9000 and 10000 ODI runs in the history of ODI cricket. He is also on the 3rd position when it comes to scoring the most number of centuries , 64 in total across the different formats of the game.

His unmatched technique and consistency has made him what he is today. The amount of concentration he has while batting is compared to none.

Another jaw dropping stat related to Virat when it comes to run-chases is that he has scored the most number of hundreds while chasing (24) in which , 21 of them have come for a winning cause. He averages a whopping 99.08 while chasing , which is the second highest with Dhoni averaging 99.85.

Here's hoping "KING KOHLI" a hundred more centuries , never ending consistency and a bunch full of records in the coming years.

With the world cup near the sight , I am pretty sure the stadiums in England are going to go shout along the chant , "VIRAT VIRAT!!
