A territorial dispute between the two countries over Muslim-majority geographic area has been running for many years, however tensions flaring before a month when a militant attack on Associate in Nursing Indian base of operations in Kashmir left 18 soldiers dead.

India blammed the attack on Pakistan, that denied the claim. Later, Pakistan captured Associate in Nursing Indian soldier in a very village within the Goi sector on the Pakistani side of the LoC.

"One soldier from 37 Rashtriya Rifles with weapons has inadvertently crossed over to the Pakistan side of the Line of Control," said a statement from an Indian army official in Delhi.

Pakistan denies that India had allotted any strikes and says two of its troopers were killed in cross-border barrage fire.

If Indian troops did cross the LoC it would be a serious escalation between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

However, the Press Trust of India quoted in sources speech that the operation materialized at 04:30 civil time, and that it was absolutely a mixture of heavier air craft and ground forces, and seven militant "launch pads" had been targeted.
