Board Exams have already begun and anxiety and fear among students is settling in even though they are

fully prepared. No student has ever said that they are completely prepared minutes before the exam is

going to start. They always are revising something or either talking about how much syllabus they have

left or how much they have covered. Some students take pride in bragging about how less they have
prepared but we all know that even the dumbest kid has prepared everything.

Board Exam is not just another exam in India, it’s a social event in its own. From your parents to your

distant relatives, your neighbors to your parent’s colleagues, everyone is interested in your results.

Exams and no longer a test of your own personal skills or learning ability its tests your ability on how

much you can mug up until the time of you exams. Due to the societal pressure exams bring, education

has completely been transformed into a race and the desire of learning has been taken over by the
competitive feeling of being a topper.
Role of parents in supporting their child during exam fever increases more. They need to make their kid

understand that no matter how much he scores in these exams, it’s not the end of the road for them.
Students who are unable to excel in this race might undergo depression and at times may take
devastating decisions.

This competitive nature of exams needs to be flushed out of Indian minds soon and let young kids
explore the true potential of their young minds beyond the textbooks. Let’s start embracing the change

from this year only and pledge to enjoy learning and focus more on personality and individual
